The common beech is a very imposing tree with a splendid orange color in the autumn. In winter, this beech remains a beautiful appearance by the discolored brown leaves which linger until spring. The outgrowth of the leaf is taking place in late April/early May, thus somewhat later than the Carpinus betulus.
